Breast Reduction

Patient Description

This woman from New Orleans was bothered by the larger size and droopy shape of her breasts after breastfeeding her children. Dr. Mizgala performed Bilateral breast reduction which always includes a breast lift as the heavy lower tissue is removed and the skin brassiere tightened around the preserved higher glandular tissue. The pocedure is performed as an outpatient under general anesthesia and generally requires about 1 week of recovery time prior to returning to work and full child care activities. Strenuous activities such as exercise and heavy lifting are restricted for a total of 6 weeks.
